これは書きかけです。
構想として
今のジェンツーペンギン 8月 part2 vmware-playerゲスト LXDEにXfce4をインストール
その前に音声を出す為に、嫌いなpulseaudioをportholeでインストール。
USE＝"を使用、package.useを使用で再起動でclementineでスピーカーから音声が出ました。
今のclementineはデフォでVer1.2.3
何故alsamixerguiがemerge出来なく成ったのか？
これは、全くダメなような表示でしたが。
ジェンツーペンギンもpulse押しなのか？
LXDEではキーボードが101設定に成っていて使いづらい。

下記は昨年とは変わったような感じ、実際はどうなのかは調べていない。
昨年の方が分かり易かったと思う。
LXDEを起動でウェブブラウザを起動で下記を端末などにコピペして作業する予定。
なので普通はxfce4-metaのみ打ち込んでいるがxfce-base/xfce4-metaまで書いて有る。
# nanoの所は端末で# pcmanfm で管理者権限に成ってそこまで行ってleafpadでコピペして作業する予定。
popplerとcmakeのためのQt4をUSEフラグを設定しないでください との事。
# nano /etc/portage/package.use/xfce
app-text/poppler -qt4
dev-util/cmake -qt4
# nano /etc/portage/make.conf
XFCE_PLUGINS="brightness clock trash"
#emerge xfce-base/xfce4-meta xfce-extra/xfce4-notifyd 58個 10:18-10:31

一貫性のあるGTK + 3テーマ
ネイティブのXfceのテーマエンジン

追加アプリケーション

2015-08-12 追記
MATEをインストールする人はLXDEをインストールする事が出来たなら即MATEをインストールの方がいいのでは？と思う。Xfce4とMATEのパワーマネイジメント？が干渉するような表示で一発で上手くMATEがインストール出来ない。
或いは、試していませんが、上記のコマンドから xfce-extra/xfce4-power-manager を抜く、これでXfce4が上手く起動出来ると言う保証は何処にも有りませんが。

2015-08-16 追記
V-BOXゲストですが、LXDEをインストールする事が出来たので即MATEをインストールして再起動でゲスト領域のマウスカーソルを移動させると消えてNGでした。仕方が無いのでBackupを取っていたので、出来の悪く成ったゲストは削除してBackupをcopyで
Xfce4をインストールしてMATEをインストールしました。
V-BOXゲストのLXDEの出来が良くないのは確実だと思います。

依存関係は存在しないが、実は必須となるパッケージ
Gnome の基本アイコンセットを導入していないと、ほとんどのアプリの外観がおかしなことになる。
x11-themes/gnome-icon-theme なので

上記コマンドはA地点で作業した方が正解だと思う。
キーボードを106に設定出来た。
今のジェンツーペンギンのXfce4は、まだ画面のアイコンを簡単にパネルに貼り付ける事が出来た。

ホームに .bashrc と言う名称の空ファイルを作り
leafpadで開いておいて下記コピペで保存で終了。
export GTK_IM_MODULE=ibus
export XMODIFIERS=@im=ibus
export QT_IM_MODULE=ibus
設定マネージャ -> session & start -> auto start application
以上で作業終了です。

Xfce4のパネルのスピーカーのアイコンをクリックでミュートのチェックが外れているのかチェックの事。
